Tervalo keeps your workouts and settings on your device.

For Tervalo: HIIT & Tabata Timer, an interval timer app by QOL Apps. Tervalo is designed to work without an account, without advertising, and without collecting personal information from you.

Summary

Tervalo does not sell your data, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Your timer presets, custom workouts, and settings are stored locally on your device. If you purchase Tervalo Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store.

Information Tervalo stores locally

Tervalo may store the following information on your device:

  • Saved workout presets and custom interval plans.
  • Timer configuration values — work duration, rest duration, rounds, prep time, warmup, cooldown, transition buffers, cue timing, and block and interval labels.
  • App settings such as whether voice cues, haptics, music ducking, and keep-screen-awake are enabled.
  • Your selected basic cue sound.
  • Your local Pro entitlement state after a successful App Store purchase or restore.
  • Your local free-use count, used to determine when the Pro paywall should appear.

This information is stored locally on your device. Tervalo does not send these workouts or settings to a Tervalo server.

Purchases and subscriptions

Tervalo uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases and subscriptions. If you buy, restore, cancel, or renew Tervalo Pro, Apple processes the transaction through your Apple ID and the App Store. Tervalo may receive transaction status information from Apple, such as whether a valid Pro purchase or subscription entitlement exists.

Tervalo does not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, Apple ID password, or other payment credentials. For information about how Apple handles purchase and payment data, please review Apple's privacy policy.

Voice cues, haptics, and audio

Tervalo can provide timer voice cues, haptic cues, and audio-session behaviour that ducks other music or audio while cues are playing. The app uses Apple's on-device speech and audio APIs for these features. Tervalo does not record audio, does not access your microphone, and does not upload voice or audio data to a Tervalo server.

Tervalo may use the iOS audio session so voice cues can be heard clearly during workouts, including while other audio is playing.

Health and fitness data

Tervalo is a fitness timer, but it does not currently read from or write to Apple Health, HealthKit, Activity, or Fitness data. The app does not collect heart rate, calories, steps, weight, body measurements, workout history from Apple Health, or other health records.

Permissions

Tervalo is designed to require minimal permissions. The app does not request access to:

  • Location
  • Contacts
  • Photos
  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Bluetooth
  • Apple Health / HealthKit
  • Motion and Fitness activity data

If future versions add features that require permissions, the app will ask through the standard iOS permission prompt and this privacy policy will be updated.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Tervalo does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or data brokers. Tervalo does not track you across other companies' apps or websites and does not serve personalised ads.

Data sharing

Tervalo does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. Purchase processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple may process information related to purchases, subscriptions, refunds, billing, taxes, fraud prevention, and account management under Apple's own privacy terms.

Data retention

Workout presets, settings, and local app state remain on your device until you delete them in the app, reset the app data, or uninstall the app. If you uninstall Tervalo, locally stored app data may be removed by iOS. Apple may separately retain purchase history associated with your Apple ID according to Apple's policies.

Children's privacy

Tervalo is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

Because Tervalo does not operate its own account system or backend for user data, workout and settings data remain local to your device. App Store purchase processing may be handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's terms and privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated if Tervalo adds new features, permissions, analytics, cloud sync, account functionality, Apple Health integration, or other data processing. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
