For DisputeKit, a private, on-device evidence organizer for consumer purchase disputes by QOL Apps. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data or the content you add to the app.
Summary
Everything you create — cases, receipts, screenshots, photos, PDFs, notes, extracted text, timelines, redactions, and reports — is stored only on your device. DisputeKit has no user accounts, no sign-in, no servers of ours, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking. Our App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the DisputeKit iOS app published by QOL Apps. It does not cover third parties, including Apple (whose services process App Store purchases and app distribution) or any website you choose to visit from the app.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. DisputeKit does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any identifier. We operate no servers that receive your data, and the app makes no network requests to us.
Content you create stays on your device
When you use DisputeKit you may add content such as:
- Case details (titles, merchant/service names, reference numbers, amounts, dates).
- Imported evidence (camera photos, Photo Library images, screenshots, scanned documents, PDFs, pasted text, notes, and saved web links).
- Text recognized from your evidence (on-device OCR) and facts suggested for your review.
- Timelines, checklists, summaries, redactions, reminders, and exported reports.
All of this is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (app database and app-owned files). It is never uploaded to us or to any third-party server by the app. We cannot see it, and we do not have access to it.
Processing that happens inside the app — text recognition, fact suggestions, timeline building, redaction, and PDF/ZIP report generation — runs entirely on your device using Apple frameworks. Your evidence is not sent anywhere for processing.
Device permissions
DisputeKit requests certain iOS permissions only when you use the related feature, and only to make that feature work on your device:
| Permission | Why | Data leaves device? |
| Camera | Take a photo or scan a document to add as evidence | No |
| Photo Library | Choose screenshots/photos to add (via the system picker) | No |
| Notifications | Show local reminders for deadlines/follow-ups you set | No — reminders are scheduled locally |
| Face ID / device passcode | Optional app lock to protect access to your cases | No — handled by iOS; we never receive biometric data |
You can change or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Notification content is private by default (a generic reminder) and only includes a case title if you explicitly enable that in the app's Settings.
In-app purchases
DisputeKit offers optional one-time in-app purchases (a Case Credit and a Lifetime Unlock) through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account information. The app stores only a local record of what you have unlocked so it can enable the corresponding features on your device. Apple's processing of purchases is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
No tracking, no advertising, no third-party analytics
DisputeKit contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not use the Advertising Identifier and do not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you. The app uses only Apple's own frameworks and includes no third-party code libraries.
We may see aggregated, anonymized metrics that Apple provides to all developers in App Store Connect (for example, total downloads or crash counts). This data comes from Apple, is not linked to you by us, and is governed by Apple's terms.
Sharing and selling of data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or your in-app content with anyone. Because the app collects no data and stores your content only on your device, there is nothing for us to share. If you choose to export and send a report (for example, to a merchant or payment provider), that sharing is initiated and controlled entirely by you.
Data retention and deletion
- Your content remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app.
- Deleting a case moves it to Recently Deleted for 30 days, after which it and its files are permanently removed; you can restore or permanently delete it sooner from within the app.
- Deleting the DisputeKit app removes all of its local data from your device. Because your data is stored only on your device, we cannot recover it for you, and we recommend exporting anything you want to keep before deleting the app.
Data security
Your content is protected by iOS app sandboxing and file protection on your device. You may enable an optional app lock (Face ID or your device passcode) for an extra barrier when opening the app. No method of storage is perfectly secure, and an in-app lock is an additional convenience barrier — it does not replace your device passcode/biometrics or full-device encryption. Keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode is the best way to protect your data.
Children's privacy
DisputeKit is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
International users and your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA-CPRA and similar)
Because DisputeKit does not collect, receive, or store any personal data on our side, we do not act as a data controller or "business" holding personal information about you, and there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict. The content you create is personal to you and remains under your sole control on your device; you can view, edit, export, or delete it at any time within the app.
- We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. There is nothing to opt out of.
- If you have questions about your rights, contact us at contact@qolapps.org.
- Note: purchases you make are processed by Apple; requests relating to your Apple Account or payment data should be directed to Apple.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its App Store listing where appropriate. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
