Privacy Policy

ClauseClock keeps your contracts and dates on your device.

Effective date: July 29, 2026

For ClauseClock, a contract document and date organizer by QOL Apps. ClauseClock does not require an account and the developer does not collect personal data or contract content through the app.

Data ClauseClock processes on your device

When you choose to use a feature, ClauseClock may process:

  • Contract files, scanned pages, selected photos, or text you paste.
  • OCR text, document search indexes, and source locations.
  • Possible date-related clause suggestions.
  • Dates, formulas, confirmations, notes, and reminder settings.
  • Local app preferences, purchase-entitlement state, and app-lock settings.
  • Privacy-limited widget snapshots.
  • Locally generated exports and diagnostics.

This information is processed and stored locally on your device. ClauseClock has no app-owned backend and does not upload contract content to the developer.

On-device processing

OCR uses Apple's on-device frameworks. Clause discovery always has a deterministic local path. On supported devices, ClauseClock may optionally use Apple's on-device SystemLanguageModel. ClauseClock does not use Private Cloud Compute or a server-based model for contract content.

Permissions and Apple services

ClauseClock asks for access only when a related feature is used:

  • Camera: to scan contract pages.
  • Selected photos and files: to import items you choose.
  • Notifications: to schedule local reminders for dates you have confirmed.
  • Calendar write-only access: to add a confirmed date when you request it.
  • Face ID or device authentication: to protect local app access. ClauseClock receives the success or failure result, not your biometric data.
  • StoreKit: to purchase or restore ClauseClock Pro Lifetime. Apple processes App Store transactions under Apple's privacy terms. ClauseClock receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock the purchase.

Your use of Apple services is also subject to Apple's privacy policy.

Tracking, advertising, and analytics

ClauseClock does not include advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party telemetry SDKs. It does not sell personal data.

Widgets, share extension, and diagnostics

The ClauseClock app, widget, and share extension use a private Apple app-group container on your device. Widget data is limited and generic by default. A more detailed widget title requires your explicit choice and ClauseClock Pro.

Local statistics and diagnostic previews are not uploaded automatically. If you explicitly export or share a diagnostic file, you control the destination through Apple's share interface. Review any exported file before sharing it.

Exports and user-directed sharing

ClauseClock can create PDF, CSV, ICS, ZIP, redacted-document, or diagnostic exports. These stay local until you choose a destination. When you share or save an export to another app or service, that recipient's privacy practices apply.

Retention and deletion

Contract data remains on your device until you delete it. Deleted contracts may remain in Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless you choose Delete Now. Delete Now removes the associated local records and files and cancels related local notifications. Removing ClauseClock from your device deletes its local app data according to iOS behavior. Data copied to Calendar, Files, backups, another app, or an external service must be removed from that destination separately.

Original documents remain accessible inside ClauseClock regardless of purchase status while they remain stored in the app.

Children

ClauseClock is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app.

Security

ClauseClock uses iOS application protection, local storage, and optional device authentication to reduce unauthorized access. No storage method can eliminate every risk. Keep your device passcode enabled and protect exports you create.

Changes to this policy

If ClauseClock's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed behavior is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
